The Weaver's Web

Just an old liberal baby boomer keeping a watchful eye on the younger generation.

Where-in I ramble somewhat aimlessly about most anything that catches my interest or engenders my disgust. Politics, religion, widowhood, mental depression and living poor are fairly common themes here.

It’s been a rough couple of weeks, loosing my little feline companion of 15 years, then having my car’s exhaust system go south. Having to replace the entire system was not in my budgeting plans.

Fixed incomes only go so far and loosing something precious sends the spirit into a tailspin. Throw it all together and a certain numbness sets in—at least for me.

I did manage to come out of my funk long enough to convince an old friend that she really did need to vote if she meant what she said when she announced, “I REALLY don’t want Romney,” after saying she didn’t think she’d bother to vote this year.

It made me feel like at least one thing was right with the world.
