The Weaver's Web

Just an old liberal baby boomer keeping a watchful eye on the younger generation.

Where-in I ramble somewhat aimlessly about most anything that catches my interest or engenders my disgust. Politics, religion, widowhood, mental depression and living poor are fairly common themes here.

Details? You don’t need no stinkin’ details!
Mitt Romney made this quite clear once again when asked for details on his tax plan while on NBC’s Meet the Press.
It’s the principles that matter. That’s all you people need to know—the principles of his plan.
Mitt has principles! Who knew?
Principle 1) “I’ll be better than Ted Kennedy” on gay rights. “I’m in favor of “gays and lesbians being able to serve openly and honestly” in the military.”
Principle 1a) ”I oppose same-sex marriage and civil unions.” Also “Don’t ask, don’t tell should be re-instated.”
Principle 2) “I will preserve and protect a woman’s right to choose.”
Principle 2a) “I am pro-life. I believe that abortion is the wrong choice except in cases of incest, rape, and to save the life of the mother.” (I once thought maybe the health of the mother mattered too, but my handlers corrected me on that.)
Mtt has shifted his principles so many times over the years in order to gain his most current heart’s desire that they have become hopelessly lost.
